Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager Interior Fitout

Key Responsibilities:

• Review IFC/GFC drawings, BOQs, specifications, and scope of work.
  
• Prepare execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  
• Coordinate interior works with civil, MEP, and architectural teams.
  
• Plan sequencing of activities to ensure smooth workflow on site.
  
• Manage daily site activities for partitions, ceiling, flooring, carpentry, joinery, painting, and finishing.
  
• Oversee and guide subcontractors and skilled labor.
  
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings and construction standards.
  
• Verify material quality and ensure installation as per specifications.
  
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to ensure seamless integration with interior works.
  
• Resolve clashes and ensure services align with design and execution requirements.
  
• Conduct routine quality inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  
• Report defects, issue NCRs, and ensure timely rectification.
  
• Approve samples, mock-ups, and ensure materials meet project requirements.
  
• Attend technical meetings with clients, architects, and consultants.
  
• Provide progress updates and ensure task closures as per site instructions.
  
• Manage subcontractors, verify measurements, and support RA bill certifications.
  
• Assist in preparing material requisitions, follow-up on deliveries, and control wastage.
  
• Track project progress and ensure alignment with budgeted costs.
  
• Prepare DPRs, WPRs, measurement sheets, snag lists, and handover documents.
  
• Ensure site safety protocols, housekeeping, and PPE compliance.
  
• Conduct toolbox talks and identify risks or unsafe practices.
  
• Adhere to construction industry safety guidelines and company standards.
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out execution within construction projects.
  
• Hands-on experience with carpentry, partitions, false ceilings, flooring, and joinery works.
  
• Good understanding of MEP coordination and construction sequencing.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera (preferred), and MS Office.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  

Educational Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Interior Engineering / Architecture.
