Project Manager (Civil Projects)

The Project Manager (Civil Projects) will lead and oversee all civil development works across eight Vignan School branches in HyderabadNizampet, Kondapur, Madinaguda, Patancheru, ECIL, Medchal, Ghatkesar, and Nawabpet.

The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership, and end-to-end ownership of project planning, execution, quality control, budgeting, and timely completion. The Project Manager acts as the central authority guiding site engineers, vendors, and contractors to ensure that all works meet the required academic timelines and Vignans construction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Leadership & Presence

• Lead the Civil Engineering division and supervise all Civil Site Engineers across branches.
• Remain flexible and available to visit any site based on priority and project demand.
• Ensure all site activities align with the approved project plan, timeline, and budget.

Project Execution & Monitoring

• Monitor execution of all civil works including
• Excavation
• Internal roads and pavements,
• Stormwater and sewerage systems,
• Water supply,
• Fencing and boundary treatments,
• Landscape development.
• Coordinate all development works to align with the schools design standards and academic timelines.
• Validate layouts using AutoCAD.
• Ensure all works strictly follow the latest structural, architectural, MEP, and landscape drawings.
• Identify technical challenges early and resolve them with consultants, vendors, and management.

Quality & Compliance

• Conduct regular quality checks and audits at every phaseexcavation, concreting, plastering, tiling, MEP, etc.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards and ensure safety systems are in place.
• Verify as-built structures with BOQ, and drawings; ensure deviation reports are recorded and justified.
• Ensure detailed checklists are followed and documented for each stage of work.
• Prepare inspection reports of incoming materials and bought-out items (e.g., tiles, steel, cement, PEB components).

Coordination & Communication

• Conduct a daily online technical review at 5:30 PM with all site engineers to:
• Review progress,
• Set next-day targets,
• Address technical doubts or challenges.
• Maintain strong coordination with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Liaise with the Head Office and Procurement Team for approvals, updates, and reporting.

Procurement, Budgeting & Reporting

• Approve materials based on project needs and track delivery timelines.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, BBS (Bar Bending Schedules), rate estimations, and cost analysis.
• Validate and cross-check contractors' running bills as per site progress and work completed.
• Support documentation for quotations, invoicing, and budget approvals.
• Generate progress reports, with measurements, timelines, and issue logs, for management review.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in: AutoCAD, MS Excel, BOQ/BBS preparation.
• Equipment handling: Total Station for accurate leveling and layout.
• Experience in:
• RCC & PEB construction
• Internal and external services (sewerage, water supply, electrical ducting)
• Road construction and drainage
• Fire safety systems integration.
