Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary: The Quality Control (QC) professional ensures that construction activities comply with quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves inspecting, testing, and reporting to ensure all construction processes meet design and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP). Conduct inspections and tests on construction materials and workmanship. Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with standards. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure quality objectives. Monitor and document construction activities to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures. Maintain all QC records including inspection reports, test results, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports). Ensure corrective actions are implemented for any deviations or deficiencies. Liaise with third-party inspectors, consultants, and client representatives. Conduct internal quality audits and participate in external audits. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness on-site. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or related field). 10+ years of experience in QC within the construction industry. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASTM standards, and relevant codes (e.g., ACI, AISC). Familiarity with testing procedures for concrete, soil, steel, etc. Proficient in MS Office, QC software/tools, and report generation. Certification in QC (e.g., ASQ, NDT Level II) is a plus. Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent documentation and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and lead quality inspections on-site.
