Quality Control Engineer

The Quality Engineer (Fresher) will support the Quality Department by assisting in inspection, documentation, and monitoring of product quality at various stages of production. The role is suitable for candidates with basic knowledge of Incoming Material Inspection, measurement techniques, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities1. Incoming Material InspectionPerform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming raw materials and components. Check documents such as test certificates, purchase orders, and delivery notes. Identify non-conforming materials and report to the Quality Manager. Maintain Incoming Inspection records and material traceability. 2. In-Process & Final Inspection SupportAssist in conducting in-process checks during manufacturing. Ensure products meet specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Support final inspection activities before dispatch. 3. Documentation & ReportingPrepare inspection reports, checklists, and quality logs. Maintain proper documentation as per ISO/Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Support NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and CAPA documentation. 4. Quality Tools & MeasurementsUse basic measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc. Learn and apply basic quality tools (5S, 7QC tools, Pareto, Fishbone diagram). Assist in calibration and upkeep of measuring instruments. 5. Process ImprovementAssist in identifying minor process issues and suggesting improvements. Support the quality team in implementing corrective and preventive actions. 6. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with the store, purchase, and production departments for quality-related matters. Communicate inspection results and quality issues promptly to supervisors. Required Skills & CompetenciesBasic knowledge of Incoming Inspection procedures. Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications (added advantage). Knowledge of measurement instruments. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Basic understanding of ISO/QMS processes. Ability to work in a team with good communication skills. Soft SkillsQuick learner with positive attitude. Willingness to work in manufacturing/production environment. Ability to handle repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy.
