Job Summary: The Finishing Manager oversees all finishing activities on construction sites, ensuring high-quality standards and timely completion of interior and exterior works. This role coordinates with various trades to deliver the final touches such as painting, flooring, plastering, ceiling, fixtures, and fittings, aligning with the project's specifications, safety standards, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise finishing works including flooring, tiling, painting, false ceilings, woodwork, doors, windows, and other final architectural finishes. Ensure all finishing tasks are completed to the highest standard and in compliance with design and quality specifications. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials. Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve issues proactively. Maintain daily progress reports and communicate updates to the Project Manager. Prepare snag lists, oversee rectification work, and ensure defect-free handover. Monitor resource allocation and ensure optimal use of labor and materials. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site. Liaise with architects, designers, and consultants to ensure alignment of design intent and execution. Manage project timelines and escalate delays or bottlenecks appropriately. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 10 to 15 years of experience in finishing work within the construction industry (residential, commercial projects). Strong understanding of construction finishing techniques, materials, and best practices. Proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors efficiently. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficient in reading drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred: Experience in high-rise or luxury residential/commercial projects. Knowledge of project management tools/software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD). Certification in health and safety standards (e.g., OSHA)
