Finishing Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Process Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise all finishing activities: thread trimming, ironing/pressing, tagging, folding, poly-bagging, and final packing.
  
• Ensure daily production targets are met without compromising quality.
  
• Monitor workflow, allocate manpower, and maintain smooth operations.
  
• Implement SOPs for all finishing processes.
  

2. Quality Assurance

• Ensure garments meet buyer specifications, measurement standards, and finishing quality requirements.
  
• Conduct in-line and final inspections before packing.
  
• Work closely with the Quality Department to resolve defects and reduce rework.
  
• Maintain AQL and quality audit compliance.
  

3. Team Management

• Lead, train, and supervise finishing supervisors, pressmen, checking staff, thread trimmers, and helpers.
  
• Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline, productivity, and safety.
  
• Coordinate manpower planning based on workload.
  

4. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with production, merchandising, cutting, and quality teams for timely order completion.
  
• Provide daily production status, defect reports, and delivery timelines to management.
  
• Monitor raw material availability (hangtags, polybags, cartons, stickers, etc.).
  

5. Machinery & Equipment Handling

• Ensure proper maintenance of finishing machines like steam irons, fusing machines, spot-cleaning machines, vacuum tables, and thread-sucking machines.
  
• Report breakdowns and follow up with maintenance teams for quick repair.
  

6. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure safety protocols are followed in finishing areas.
  
• Maintain clean, organized, and 5S-compliant finishing floors.
  
• Ensure adherence to buyer compliance and audit requirements.
