Team Supervision: Manage and guide store assistants/helpers. Train and develop team members on store processes and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and a flair for customer interaction, sales negotiation, and relationship building. Key Responsibilities:Identify and develop new business opportunities with industrial clients. Promote and sell mechanical products such as pumps, valves, machines, spare parts, fabrication services, etc. Understand client technical requirements and offer suitable product solutions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers. Negotiate terms of sales, pricing, delivery, and service agreements. Follow up on quotations and convert leads into confirmed orders. Maintain customer relationships to ensure repeat business. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Coordinate with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure timely delivery. The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing and overseeing inventory and supplies within the manufacturing unit. The role includes receiving, storing, and issuing materials and maintaining stock records in an organized and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:Receive and inspect incoming materials, tools, and equipment. Verify quantities and quality of items received against purchase orders/invoices. Organize and store items in designated storage areas. Maintain proper inventory records in software/manual register (GRN, BIN Card, etc.). Issue materials as per production requirements and record the same. Monitor stock levels and inform management of low stock or overstock situations. Ensure proper labeling and segregation of materials to prevent mix-ups. Perform periodic stock audits and physical verifications. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness in the store area. Coordinate with purchase, production, and accounts departments for smooth inventory flow. Assist in scrap handling and disposal as per company policy. Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO/Batch tracking methods. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports as required. Required Skills and Qualifications:Minimum Qualification: 10+2 / ITI / Diploma in Storekeeping / Material Management or any equivalent. Experience: 2–5 years in storekeeping in a manufacturing/industrial setup. Proficient in inventory software (like Tally, SAP, ERP, etc.) and MS Office. Good knowledge of stock control systems and documentation. Ability to lift and move materials (as needed) and operate store equipment (pallet jacks, trolleys). This role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, documenting findings, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented to maintain high product standards. Key ResponsibilitiesInspection and Testing: Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform routine and non-routine testing using specialized equipment and techniques. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. Documentation and Reporting: Record inspection results, test data, and deviations from quality standards. Prepare detailed reports on quality issues and provide suggestions for improvement. Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests in compliance with company policies. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns. Communicate findings to supervisors, engineers, and management. Assist in training production staff on quality standards and processes. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Participate in internal and external audits as required. Knowledge of quality control standards, tools, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents. Proficiency in using inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
