Opportunity –

As a Senior Editor, you will:

• Develop product plans and drive assigned Social Science projects (print, blended, and digital) to completion in an error-free and timely manner.
• Conduct market research, analyze feedback, and identify content updates aligned with curriculum requirements.
• Review and approve content to ensure adherence to editorial guidelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate with authors, freelancers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality inputs as per schedule.
• Design digital solutions, including animations, games, and interactive content, and review storyboards for blended products.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and ensure cost-effective publication.
• Provide product knowledge to Sales and Marketing teams and assist in product promotion and training.
• Analyze competition products and sales trends to inform product strategy.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Your work will directly impact the quality of educational resources, supporting teachers and learners across India and contributing to OUP’s reputation for excellence.

About You

Essential Criteria

• Postgraduate degree in Social Science (preferably History or Geography).
• 6–7 years of experience in educational publishing (print and digital).
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of school pedagogy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with editing processes and basics of digital content creation.
• Ability to perform under strict deadlines.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in designing blended learning solutions.
• Knowledge of market trends and curriculum requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
