Job Title: DevOps Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Consultant who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms, along with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• CI/CD Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git, ensuring secure and efficient software delivery.
• Automation: Develop and optimize automation scripts (e.g., Bash) to reduce manual effort in configuration management and deployment.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain production environments, web servers (Apache, Nginx), and application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere).
• Monitoring & Performance: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like New Relic, Glowroot, and Dynatrace to improve system visibility and reduce MTTR.
• Cloud Services: Work with AWS and GCP for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Cost Optimization: Advocate for open-source tools to reduce licensing costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaboration & Support: Troubleshoot technical issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide support to ensure smooth operations.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging DevOps trends and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), SCM tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure Automation and System Administration .
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Monitoring Tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, Glowroot).
• Basic scripting skills (Bash).
• Good understanding of performance tuning and security best practices .

Education

• B.Tech in Information Technology or equivalent.

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Knowledge: Architecting
• AWS Knowledge: Cloud Essentials
