Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage database migration initiatives, especially leveraging AWS DMS for seamless transitions
• Design and develop robust, high-performance relational and NoSQL database solutions
• Work with MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB, or similar NoSQL systems for scalable, schema-less data structures
• Collaborate with application development teams to enable efficient integration between databases and applications
• Optimize queries and ensure performance tuning across relational and NoSQL environments
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data availability, consistency, and performance
• Automate database tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell)
• Ensure adherence to security, backup, and disaster recovery standards for all databases
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7-12 years of experience in database development and migration projects
• Strong expertise in AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
• Solid experience with both relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB)
• Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and data partitioning strategies in NoSQL systems
• Deep understanding of DBA-to-application integration, including stored procedures, API interfaces, and ORMs
• Experience in performance tuning, schema design, and large-scale data operations
• Exposure to cloud database environments like AWS RDS, Aurora, or managed NoSQL services
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
