Job Description

Role Profile: Configuration Specialist

  • Configuration Execution:

    • Configure OHI platform modules, including authorizations, claims, policy, and master data, according to project requirements.
    • Ensure configurations align with the overall solution architecture and business needs.
    • Document configurations and changes, ensuring traceability and compliance with project standards.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Lead Configuration Specialist, Business Analyst, and Solution Architect to ensure configurations support the intended solution design.
    • Support the QA team during UAT, assisting with validation and providing OHI product expertise.
  • Problem Resolution:

    • Identify and resolve configuration-related issues promptly.
    • Escalate complex issues to the Lead Configuration Specialist when necessary.
  • Documentation:

    • Maintain up-to-date configuration records and contribute to the creation of project artifacts.
    • Assist in preparing reference materials and knowledge transfer documentation for client teams.
  • Stakeholder Support:

  • Collaborate with client teams to address configuration-related questions or adjustments.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve processes and configurations.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in configuring enterprise software, preferably in the healthcare or insurance domain.
  • Oracle Health Insurance (OHI) platform configuration certification
  • Development insight: Java, Groovy and PL/SQL understanding

Skills and Experience required:

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Hands-on experience configuring OHI modules, such as authorizations, claims, policy, and master data.
    • Knowledge of systems integration and how configurations interact across platforms.
  • Problem-Solving:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail:

    • Thorough and precise approach to configuring and documenting system changes.
  • UAT Support:

    • Experience supporting functional and user acceptance testing by validating configurations and assisting QA teams.
  • Preferred Experience

    • Experience with healthcare systems and insurance claims processing.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
    • Exposure to quality assurance processes and testing frameworks.
