Preventai is a company dedicated to solving a critical societal challenge: increasing safety in everyday environments. Our main focus is the development of an advanced computer vision system capable of detecting suspicious events via CCTV surveillance cameras, initially to prevent loss in grocery stores. Now, we’re looking for a computer vision engineer with video classification experience to help us take our platform to the next level. About the role You'll report directly to the CTO, playing an important role in shaping the technical strategies that will propel Preventai to market leadership. In this high-impact role, you’ll work directly with large-scale video data to build computer vision features that power our next architecture for real-time theft detection. We thrive in a dynamic startup environment that values flexibility and initiative. You'll join a close-knit, supportive team where we genuinely look out for one another and understand the importance of work-life integration. What you will be doing Work with the technical team to architect a new kind of computer vision pipeline. Build good practices for data collection with a strong ETL cycle. Do applied research on SOTA methods towards the task at hand. Who you are For us it is important that you have a strong drive in taking your own initiatives to further progress the system towards becoming better, running tests and optimizing existing routines is second nature for the person we are looking for. You are also optimistic about solving hard problems and you get energy from brainstorming sessions where your best friend is the whiteboard (or Miro ^^).
