Job Description

Job Title: Senior C++ Developer – L2 Networking (IC3) Experience: 8+ Years Location: Pune (Onsite) Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C++ Developer with strong experience in embedded software development for Layer 2 (L2) switches, especially on Broadcom platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role that requires expertise in switch configuration, protocol implementation, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-performance networking environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for L2 switching, with a focus on Broadcom switch platforms.Configure switches to support networking features like VLANs, VxLANs, NAT, and other L2 protocols.Implement packet inspection and filtering rules to enhance security and optimize network traffic.Utilize Broadcom SDKs and APIs for platform-specific development and performance optimization.Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, network architects, and QA teams to ensure smooth integration and system delivery.Optimize switch performance by identifying bottlenecks and deploying enhancements.Troubleshoot and debug complex switch-related issues in embedded environments.Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, protocols, and development processes.Must-Have Skills:Strong proficiency in C++ programming for embedded systems.Deep experience with Broadcom switch platforms and use of their SDKs/APIs.Expertise in L2 protocols: VLAN, VxLAN, NAT, STP, etc.Knowledge of network security principles and hands-on experience with packet inspection/filtering.Proven track record in troubleshooting and optimizing embedded switches.Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Desirable Skills:Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.Exposure to system integration, board bring-up, and real-time embedded systems.Familiarity with ASIC-level programming and hardware/software co-design.Ability to work with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
