Senior Buyer

As an experienced professional at Alstom, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, supplier relationship management, and supporting commodity strategy. Your responsibilities will include: - Setting up the full supplier selection process and preparing Request for Quotation with suppliers - Leading project negotiations and monitoring Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution - Ensuring commitment respect for work package sheet and preparing Business Award - Coordinating projects with all mtiers and ensuring on-time delivery and quality during the ramp-up phase Supporting commodity strategy by consolidating commodity needs, actively participating in commodity strategy and panel elaboration, and providing inputs for differentiation - Supporting Commodity Manager in the tender phase and representing commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions - Ensuring effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving and applying the Alstom Procurement process Building supplier relationships by supporting global supplier panel relationship, managing specific supplier panel relationship, and measuring supplier performance - Assessing risky suppliers and managing associated mitigation plans, monitoring Corporate Social Responsibility engagements and deviations, and respecting Alstom code of ethics and guidelines Your performance will be measured based on Savings P&L, Cost to Complete, Non-Conformities Event, On-Time Delivery, and Panel situation Supplier compliancy status rate. The competencies and skills needed for this role include the ability to work in a matrix environment, communication skills, team spirit, ability to challenge, results-oriented, rigorous and structured, international mindset, and fluency in English. The mandatory experience required is a sourcing professional background of 5-10 years, and educational requirements include an Engineering Degree with preferable MBA qualification.
