What You'll Be Doing
Own the Backend: Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that are secure, scalable, and high-performing.
Architect with Purpose: Break down complex business problems into simple, extensible technical solutions using modern design principles and architecture patterns.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Frontend Engineers to shape feature development and ensure seamless integration.
Champion Quality: Lead code reviews, enforce testing standards, and ensure continuous improvement in code quality and system performance.
Drive Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate them for inclusion in the stack, where appropriate.
What You Bring
4+ years of experience in backend development using Java (preferably versions 8, 11, or 17).
Solid experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
Strong grasp of software architecture, modular design, and scalable systems.
Proficiency with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to distributed systems and tuning for performance and reliability.
Deep understanding of software design principles like SOLID, DRY, and Clean Code.
Nice to Have
Experience in fintech, SaaS, or other product-based platforms.
Knowledge of Kafka, GraphQL, Kubernetes, or event-driven architecture.
A track record of leading engineering pods or mentoring team members.
