Job Description

Key Responsibilities. Architect, build, and optimize Django-based APIs and services.

  • Define and enforce backend best practices, coding standards, and security protocols.

  • Lead integrations with external financial APIs (KYC, banking, payments, etc.).

  • Drive performance improvements in high-load environments.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical decision-making.

  • Must-Have Skills. 4 to 7 years of backend development experience in Python and Django/Django Rest Framework.

  • Deep knowledge of relational databases, query optimization, and scaling.

  • Hands-on experience with system design, caching, rate limiting, and error handling.

  • Strong experience working in fintech and Software Development ecosystems is mandatory.

  • Good-to-Have Skills. Familiarity with asynchronous task queues (Celery, RabbitMQ).

  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.

  • Education. Tech/ M. (ref:hirist.tech).
