We are seeking a motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our product team. You will play a critical role in designing and building backend services for our new product offerings. If youre passionate about scalable systems, API development, and cloud technologies, wed love to hear from you.

Primary Skills:

Programming: Java, Python, Node.js
APIs Architecture: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, system architecture
Databases: PostgreSQL (preferred), NoSQL databases
Integration: Experience with healthcare standards (Smart on FHIR, HL7), enterprise system integration, message queues, and ETL processes
DevOps CI/CD: Git, Maven, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/li
Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure
Frameworks: Django, Flask, FastAPI (Python)
AI Development Acceleration: Experience with AI-driven development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
Nice to Have: Spring Boot, Spring Framework

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop backend services and GraphQL APIs using Django, Flask, FastAPI, and similar frameworks.
Build and maintain scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs and system architectures.
Implement and manage integrations with healthcare systems and standards (FHIR, HL7)
Design and develop ETL processes and data interchange mechanisms
Define API specifications (e.g., Swagger) and integration patterns with third-party tools.
Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) for evaluating new technologies.
Own end-to-end technology delivery, ensuring high-quality, well-tested code.
Contribute to infrastructure management, containerization, and deployment security.
Work with logging and monitoring tools like Elastic Stack and Grafana.
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering best practices and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, DevOps, and product teams.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in backend development with Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI) and Node.js.
Strong experience with system architecture, cloud environments (Azure/GCP), and DevOps practices.
Hands-on expertise with API design, authentication (OAuth), streaming, payments, and CMS integrations.
Experience with healthcare data standards (Smart on FHIR, HL7) and enterprise integration patterns.
Knowledge of message queues, ESB concepts, and ETL processes
Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in an agile development environment.
