💼 Role Overview

We’re looking for a

Senior Backend Developer

to join UST's high-performing team in Thiruvananthapuram. This is a

hands-on leadership role

, requiring deep technical expertise in

Node.js, TypeScript, AWS

, and experience building high-performance backend systems using

RESTful APIs and GraphQL

.You’ll contribute to backend design, lead development best practices, and mentor junior developers — all while delivering scalable, production-ready cloud-based solutions.

✅ Must-Have Skills & Experience

6+ years of professional backend development experience
Proven technical leadership capabilities
Expert in TypeScript and Node.js
Proficient in RESTful APIs and GraphQL development & integration
Deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including:

Lambda
API Gateway
DynamoDB
S3

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Excellent communication skills (technical + non-technical)

🌟 Bonus (Nice-to-Have)

Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps environments
Experience working in product-based or agile startup environments
Prior experience contributing to architecture or code reviews
