Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Backend Developer – Node.js based in Coimbatore. The Senior Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain back-end applications, focusing on Node.js. Tasks include writing efficient code, implementing server-side logic, integrating front-end elements, troubleshooting, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications. Collaborating with front-end developers, system architects, and other stakeholders will also be key responsibilities.

Key responsilblities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Node.js
• Build scalable, secure RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints
• Lead architectural decisions and technical solutions for backend systems
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and Product Managers
• Integrate third-party services and APIs
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation
• Participate in Agile development processes (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, etc.)

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in backend development with Node.js
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of Express.js, NestJS (preferred), or similar frameworks
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other relational/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Redis, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers
• Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficient in writing unit tests, integration tests, and using tools like Jest or Mocha
• Familiar with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Exposure to DevOps practices
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
