Job Description

Role Overview: You will be a part of the Asset Servicing International (ASI) Team within Audit Services at Northern Trust. Your main responsibilities will include providing assurance on core banking and asset servicing operations, evaluating new technologies and data analytics, assessing fraud risks and controls, and developing data analytics strategies. You will have the opportunity to contribute to enterprise risk assessments, drive thought leadership, and build authentic relationships in a flexible and delivery-driven culture. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and execute multiple audits simultaneously - Conduct and document complex and high-risk audits - Demonstrate professional skepticism and challenge processes for improvement - Finalize planning documents and execute audit engagements - Review information, assess audit results, and evaluate controls - Collaborate with Senior Audit Managers on audit planning and scoping - Develop audit budgets and timeframes - Review work papers of audit team members - Communicate audit status to business unit and Audit Services management - Compile findings and recommendations for status updates, memos, and audit reports - Coordinate with other audit teams to ensure timely evaluations - Provide comprehensive consulting and leadership as a subject matter expert Qualifications Required: - 5 to 7 years of internal audit experience in the financial services industry preferred - Knowledge of internal audit processes and strong work paper documentation skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with audit work paper applications preferred - Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) and/or an MBA preferred - General knowledge of interfacing areas and operations/functions - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Strong organizational and time management skills - Flexible and adaptive to change Additional Details: Northern Trust is a Fortune 500 company with over 130 years of financial experience and more than 22,000 partners.
