Senior Associate_Data and Analytics_Advisory_SAP TPM

Responsibilities:

• Chart of accounts, GL accounts, posting keys, document types, fiscal calendars, ledgers (local vs group), multi-currency and exchange rate types.
• Cost objects and account assignment: cost centers, profit centers, internal orders/WBS, segments, document splitting.
• Tax/VAT basics for credit notes and expense postings; withholding where applicable.
• Universal Journal (ACDOCA) concepts in S/4HANA.
• End-to-end OTC flow and FI postings from billing.
• Pricing conditions and their finance impact: on-invoice vs off-invoice discounts, accrual condition types, and account determination.
• Rebates vs Settlement Management (condition contracts in S/4) and how they differ from TPM-managed off-invoice trade spend.
• Credit memo/credit memo request flows and how these clear AR deductions/short pays.
• Funds and accruals: how to design GL mappings for trade spend, define accrual methods (rate-per-unit, % of sales, lump sum), post/reverse monthly accruals, and perform true-ups to actuals.
• Claims/deductions: AR deductions, reason codes, Dispute and Collections Management, clearing strategies, and linkage to promotion/event IDs for auditability.
• Gross-to-net waterfall mapping: aligning trade spend categories to P&L lines and ensuring consistent reporting.
• How VisualFabriq integrates to SAP for postings and settlements: IDoc/EDI (e.g., ACC_DOCUMENT), BAPI/Function modules (e.g., FI document post), and S/4 public APIs (e.g., API_JOURNAL_ENTRY_SRV) for journals; SD APIs for credit memos.
• Data contracts for master/transactional data between SAP and VisualFabriq; reconciliation keys and reference fields to link events/promotions to FI/SD documents.
• Error handling, retries, and controls for interface runs; sequencing with period close.
• Month-end processes: accrual calculations, reversals, reclassifications, FX revaluation, and alignment to financial close timelines.
• Reconciliation routines: plans vs actuals vs financials; line-item and balance checks (GL and AR), and tie-out to CO-PA.

Ways to Stand Out

• Proven ability to Implement complex TPM roadmaps across markets in SAP landscape.

Mandatory skill sets:

• SAP ECC/S/4 FI/CO and SDFI integration for trade spend: deep knowledge of funds and accrual postings, credit memo/settlement flows, deductions handling, CO-PA (preferably account-based in S/4), Universal Journal, and Settlement Management vs legacy rebates.
• TPM/TPO domain expertise: end-to-end trade promotion processes (annual planning, event creation, approvals, in-flight tracking, post-event), gross-to-net waterfall, KPIs (uplift, ROI, baseline), and deduction resolution best practices.
• Data integration and reconciliation: define data contracts and mappings between SAP and VisualFabriq (master data, pricing/conditions, sales, finance), ensure alignment of calendars and hierarchies, and reconcile plans vs actuals vs financials down to GL/CO-PA.
• Requirements and process design: lead discovery, fitgap, and blueprinting across Sales, Finance, and RGM; design approval workflows, guardrails, and controls; define KPIs and reporting needed for decision-making.
• Testing, quality, and compliance: author SIT/UAT scenarios including month-end close, accrual true-ups, and settlements; manage defect triage; ensure SOX/audit-ready approvals, segregation of duties, and clear audit trails linking promotions to FI/SD documents.
