About the Role
The Client Clearing Group manages collateral for clients clearing trades through centralized clearing houses. The team is responsible for issuing margin calls, monitoring intraday credit risks, reconciling balances, and ensuring seamless client trading activity throughout the day. This role is time-sensitive and requires close collaboration with IT Support, Data Storage, Legal, Middle Office, and Clearing Houses.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Data Quality analysis prior to issuing margin calls.
Monitor batches that generate cash flows, interest, bond prices, and other components of margin calls.
Issue margin calls and follow up with clients on unanswered calls.
Investigate disputed margin calls, liaising with clients, MO, and legal teams.
Chase clients on failed/missed payments.
Investigate unsettled bonds with the settlements team.
Process substitution requests from clients/traders.
Book and reconcile monthly client interest; investigate discrepancies.
Work on ageing breaks (interest, missed payments, bond fails).
Contributing Responsibilities
Actively participate in automation discussions and meetings.
Test new functionalities and propose tactical solutions for timely margin calls.
Take ownership to ensure accurate and timely call processing within SLAs.
Review and interpret business documents related to automation initiatives.
