Senior Analytics Engineer

As an Analytics Engineer at DoorDash, you will be part of the Analytics Engineering team responsible for building internal data products that drive decision-making and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams to develop end-to-end analytics initiatives, working closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Operators. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements. - Identify key business questions and develop structured solutions to generate insights. - Lead the development of data products and tools for scalable analytics. - Build and maintain canonical datasets through reliable ETL/ELT pipelines. - Design metrics and data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Sigma, and Mode. - Uphold high data integrity standards for increased reusability and standardization. **Qualifications Required:** - 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or similar roles. - Proficiency in SQL for data transformation and familiarity with Python or Scala. - Experience with dashboarding tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma. - Knowledge of database fundamentals like S3, Trino, Hive, Spark and SQL performance tuning. - Ability to write data quality checks for data integrity validation. - Strong communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams. - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to think strategically. **Nice to Have:** - Experience with modern data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift. - Familiarity with orchestrating workflows using tools like Airflow, Dagster, DBT. - Knowledge of experimentation concepts like A/B testing and their data requirements.
