Job Description

Analytics Lifecycle Management:

Work on end-to-end activities of analytics lifecycle. Create user stories based on business needs and objectives. Participate in discovery and data storytelling sessions with customers. Incorporate and propose best practices for design and development. Develop varying fidelity wireframes and mockups using PowerPoint or any other relevant tools.

Design and Development:

Develop prototypes/POCs for complex use cases. Design and develop semantic models for self-service and enterprise reporting. Develop rich, interactive, performant, secure reports and dashboards for desktop/mobile platforms.

Testing and Support:

Support data culture activities (data catalog, governance, and user adoption). Migrate semantic models/reports/dashboards from one BI platform to another. Develop test cases and perform Unit and Performance testing. Offer deployment and post-production support.

Innovation and Automation:

Estimate efforts for user stories and deliverables. Identify automation opportunities (CLI/API based) and propose innovation avenues.

Work and Technical Expertise:

Essential Skills:

Ability to take ownership and drive end-to-end activities alone or as part of team in agile teams
Analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports
Deep experience with traditional/modern analytics. Understanding of data literacy, data catalogs, data culture is a plus
Experience with writing and optimizing SQL queries is must Experience with formal dimensional modelling techniques, cloud native databases like Snowflake, Google Big Query is a big plus
Experience in deployment & integration which includes setting up configuration management, developing components, peer reviews

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of monitoring tools, auditing, and administration
Knowledge of incorporating data privacy and security solutions in the implementation
Knowledge of visual design, data storytelling, dashboard design techniques

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master s degree is a plus)
Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods
7+ years of total IT experience
5+ years of experience on any of these BI Tools (MSTR / Tableau / Power BI / Qlik / Domo / SSRS)

Ability to think strategically and align discussions with broader business objectives
Actively mentor and coach junior team members, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally and foster a collaborative learning environment
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and demonstrate thought leadership
Promote best practices, identify areas for optimization and drive initiatives to enhance processes, efficiency and quality
Able to work with teams and clients in different time zone
