Job Description

  • Overview the complete bookkeeping process for UK based clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries and reconciliations as per UK GAAP and client-specific procedures/SOPs.
  • Review and reconcile bank statements against internal records, ensuring accuracy.
  • eview payroll journal entries and oversee the management of expense claims.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assist in the VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations, including necessary adjustments or updates.
  • Understand client queries, providing guidance and addressing complex financial concerns.
  • Ensure the timely submission of timesheets and regularly update workflow systems to ensure smooth project management.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets and provide detailed financial analysis and strategic recommendations based on financial data.
  • Experience with Payroll processing will be an advantage.
  • B.com, M.com or Equivalent Qualification.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP, including VAT, PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, and end-to-end bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheets, profit & loss, cash flow).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • High-quality delivery of engagements and meeting turnaround times
  • Committed to continuous learning and adapting to evolving accounting methodologies and software.
  • Abilities to mentor and support the development of junior staff.
  • Payroll processing and basic knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Client communication and team handling.
  • Proficiency in UK-based accounting Software (Xero, QuickBooks, Hubdoc, and Dext)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc).
