Senior Accountant

Accounting Operations:

• Managing the general ledger: This involves maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Reconciling accounts: They ensure that bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable are reconciled with the general ledger.
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable: They monitor and manage the flow of money in and out of the company.
• Preparing journal entries: They record various transactions, including revenue, expenses, and accruals.
• Maintaining compliance: They ensure that all financial activities adhere to relevant accounting standards (like GAAP) and regulations.

Tax and Audit:

• Assisting with tax audits: They help prepare for and respond to audits conducted by tax authorities.
• Preparing tax returns: They assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and other tax filings.
• Supporting internal and external audits: They work with auditors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Other Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and forecasting:They play a crucial role in developing and managing the company's budget and forecasts.
• Developing and implementing accounting policies:They help create and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Mentoring and supervising junior accountants:Senior accountants often guide and mentor junior staff, delegating tasks and reviewing their work.
• Liaising with other departments:They collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
• Staying updated on accounting regulations:They keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and tax laws.
