Senior Account Manager

As a Senior Accountant, your primary goal is to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and strategic reporting of the company's financial activities. - Taxation and Compliance Responsibilities: - You play a key role in ensuring the company meets all its tax obligations accurately and efficiently, often working closely with a dedicated Tax Manager or external consultants. - Tax Return Preparation and Filing: - Prepare or review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring all calculations are accurate and comply with current tax laws. - Tax Provision and Financial Reporting: - Prepare and calculate the tax provision, which is the tax expense that appears on the financial statements. - Perform detailed reconciliations between financial accounting records and tax accounting records. - Tax Planning and Research: - Conduct in-depth research on complex tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to inform business decisions. - Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability legally. - Finance and Financial Reporting Responsibilities: - This area focuses on managing core accounting functions, financial analysis, and ensuring the integrity of the company's financial statements. - Financial Reporting and Analysis: - Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Ensure all financial reports adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). - Perform financial analysis and provide insightful commentary to management for decision-making. - General Ledger and Month-End Close: - Own and manage significant parts of the accounting cycle, especially the month-end and year-end close processes. - Perform complex account and bank reconciliations and review/approve journal entries. - Coordinate and assist with the annual external financial audit and develop strong internal controls. - Budgeting and Forecasting Support: - Work with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. - Provide reliable financial data and historical trends for future financial projections.
