Job Description

Role Overview:

The Security Control Room Operator will manage and support a 24-hour Security Control Room, ensuring all electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems) are monitored, operational, and optimized. The role includes incident management, system troubleshooting, reporting, and coordination with technical teams and site security personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Operations & Monitoring:

  • Operate and monitor integration of electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems) with centralized applications.
  • Ensure the efficacy of installed security systems via regular checks and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Manage emergency communication systems (telephones, walkie-talkies) and respond according to emergency protocols.
  • Support site teams and Security Head during investigation of security incidents.
  • Direct deployment of resources to resolve incidents in compliance with policies, contracts, and legal requirements.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain MIS reporting: data collation, validation, and preparation of final summaries.
  • Generate on-demand system reports for various locations.
  • Record troubleshooting actions, administrative issues, and security/safety service incidents, ensuring timely resolution.

System Management & Continuous Improvement:

  • Review and identify security risks related to technical systems periodically.
  • Enhance remote monitoring capabilities using cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct technical trainings for security personnel on video surveillance, access control, and fire alarm systems.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Coordinate with technical teams to resolve system issues efficiently.
  • Update relevant colleagues and stakeholders on critical incidents via phone, email, or messaging.

Required Competencies & Skills:

  • Technical Skills:

    Digital CCTV, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, cybersecurity, asset management, digitalization/automation of security operations, Power BI, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Personal Attributes:

    Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, organized, results-oriented, collaborative team player.
  • Additional Requirements:

    Willingness to work in shifts and on holidays.
