Security Guard

Job Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel property. The role includes monitoring premises, controlling access, preventing unauthorized activities, and responding promptly to emergencies while upholding the hotel’s service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor hotel premises through regular patrols to ensure safety and security
• Control entry and exit points of guests, staff, visitors, and vehicles
• Verify staff IDs, visitor passes, and vendor entry permissions
• Maintain vigilance to prevent theft, vandalism, fire hazards, and other security risks
• Respond immediately to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical situations, or security threats
• Assist guests courteously while ensuring security protocols are followed
• Report and record all incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities accurately
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, and Management during emergencies
• Ensure compliance with hotel security policies and SOPs
• Monitor CCTV systems and maintain security logs
• Support crowd control during events, functions, and peak hours
• Ensure lost and found items are properly handled and documented

• Strong observation and surveillance skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and alert under pressure
• Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures
• Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for long hours
• Honest, disciplined, and service-oriented attitude

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th standard (preferred)
• Prior experience as a Security Guard in a hotel, hospital, or commercial establishment is an advantage
• Ex-servicemen or trained security personnel will be preferred
