The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily cleaning operations of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the 5-star quality standards of Gokulam Grand Kovalam. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and guide the housekeeping team (room attendants, public area attendants, linen staff, etc.). Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Coordinate with Front Office for room status updates and guest requests. Maintain proper inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities. Ensure staff follow hotel standards, safety, and hygiene procedures. Plan daily room assignments and monitor productivity. Assist in training new housekeeping staff and conducting refresher training sessions. Report maintenance issues promptly to the Engineering Department. Handle guest complaints or requests efficiently and courteously. Maintain records of staff attendance, lost & found items, and housekeeping checklists. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or degree in Hotel Management preferred. Minimum 3–4 years of experience in housekeeping, including supervisory level in a reputed hotel/resort. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Good communication in English; Malayalam and Hindi are an advantage. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
