Job Description

Overview
We are looking for a versatile and talented Section Chef skilled in Indian, South Indian, and Chinese cuisines. The ideal candidate will manage their assigned section, deliver high-quality dishes, maintain consistency, and support smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Indian, South Indian, and Chinese dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Handle mise en place, portioning, and preparation for curries, tandoor items, dosas/idlis, noodles, stir-fries, gravies, etc.
• Maintain excellent food quality, taste, and presentation across all assigned cuisines.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth service and timely output.
• Assist in menu development for specials and new dishes across the three cuisines.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the kitchen team on ingredient needs.
• Train and guide Commis Chefs and other junior staff in the section.
• Reduce wastage and help maintain cost control.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in Indian, South Indian, or Chinese kitchens (knowledge of all three is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of spices, cooking techniques, and regional flavors for each cuisine.
• Ability to work cleanly, quickly, and efficiently during high-volume service.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to operate equipment such as tandoor ovens, wok ranges, steamers, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
