Position : Sealant Officer Department : Research & Development Company : Astral Adhesives Location : Ahmedabad Experience Required : 2-3 years Qualification : B.Sc. / M.Sc. - Chemistry About the Role: Astral Adhesives is looking for a motivated and technically sound R&D Officer to join its Sealant Division at the Ahmedabad R&D Center . The role involves development and optimization of sealant products for construction and industrial applications, with a focus on quality, performance, and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Formulation & Product Development: Develop and optimize formulations for silicone, PU, acrylic, and hybrid sealants . Conduct laboratory trials and testing for performance attributes like adhesion, flexibility, curing time , and durability . Testing & Analysis: Perform quality and performance tests on both raw materials and finished products . Maintain detailed lab records and generate technical reports. Material Evaluation: Source and evaluate new raw materials and additives. Work with procurement and vendor teams to assess raw material compatibility and cost efficiency. Technical Collaboration & Scale-up: Assist in plant-level trials and scale-up of lab-developed formulations . Provide technical support to production, QA, and marketing teams . Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all development work complies with relevant regulatory standards . Prepare SOPs, MSDS, TDS , and other technical documentation. Key Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of sealant chemistry and formulation principles Hands-on experience with lab equipment like viscometers, tensile testers, etc. Strong analytical and documentation skills Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities Preferred Background: Prior experience in adhesives, sealants, construction chemicals , or similar industries Candidates with exposure to PU/silicone sealants preferred Freshers with strong academic credentials in Chemistry or Polymer Science are also welcome Apply Now: Send your updated resume to ramesh.chaudhary@astralltd.com or WhatsApp at 8353912032
