Job Description

Role Overview

Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE 2)

This role requires hands-on experience in blockchain development with strong fundamentals in distributed systems, Web3 tooling, and secure coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts primarily in Solidity (EVM), with occasional work in other ecosystems (Cosmos, Solana, etc.).
  • Integrate blockchain layers with backend services (Node.js/Python/Go) and frontend apps via Web3 libraries.
  • Implement protocol-level logic for DEXs, wallets, staking systems, token bridges, and NFTs.
  • Ensure high code quality through code reviews, audits, unit tests, and best practices in security.
  • Maintain documentation, SDKs, and developer tooling for seamless integration.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver robust user-facing features.
  • Monitor on-chain deployments, gas optimizations, upgradeable patterns, and network interactions.
  • Stay up to date with ecosystem changes (EIPs, new chains, tools, or vulnerabilities).

Required Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in software development, with at least 1.5+ years in blockchain (EVM-based or similar).
  • Strong proficiency in

    Solidity

    , smart contract development, and tools like

  • Experience with blockchain node RPCs, Web3.js/Ethers.js, and wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.).
  • Good understanding of EVM architecture, gas optimization, reentrancy, signature verification, and event-based interactions.
  • Experience with

    RESTful APIs

    ,

    GraphQL

    , and backend frameworks (Node.js preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155), L2 networks, and bridges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with

    Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Chain

  • Exposure to DeFi protocols or building financial primitives like swaps, liquidity pools, staking, or farming.
  • Familiarity with off-chain indexing, cross-chain bridging, and oracle integrations (e.g., Chainlink).
