Job Description

Job Title: SCM Executive Material and Production Planner (Subcontracting / In-House)

Key Responsibilities:

For Subcontracting:

  • Plan and execute end-to-end production schedules at subcontractor facilities.
  • Ensure timely material dispatch to vendors and track usage to prevent shortages.
  • Align subcontractor activities with in-house schedules to ensure delivery timelines.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and escalate deviations in output, quality, or timelines.
  • Act as the coordination bridge between vendors, planning, procurement, and logistics teams.

For In-House Production:

  • Prepare and manage daily/weekly/monthly production plans for internal manufacturing lines.
  • Collaborate with shop-floor teams, maintenance, and quality for uninterrupted production flow.
  • Monitor work orders, capacity utilization, and material issuance aligned with BOMs and priorities.
  • Drive inventory control, lean practices, and ensure on-time completion of production orders.
  • Work closely with stores and procurement to maintain required stock levels of raw materials.

Common Responsibilities:

  • Analyze OTR (Order to Remittance) data to drive material planning and production forecasts.
  • Create MIS reports and dashboards to track plan adherence, material status, and supply risks.
  • Participate in strategic reviews and S&OP meetings to align supply chain with business goals.
  • Ensure all transactions, plans, and records are compliant with ERP/SAP systems and audit requirements.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to optimize production planning and material flow.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong planning and analytical skills with understanding of both subcontracting and in-house workflows.
  • Excellent coordination and vendor/shop-floor communication capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, ERP tools (preferably SAP), and planning systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic mindset with operational discipline and execution focus.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in SCM, production planning, or vendor coordination roles.
