SCM - Assistant Manager

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all supply chain activities, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, vendor development, and demand forecasting.

The role ensures on-time delivery, cost optimization, and smooth material flow to support overall operational efficiency.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, delivery timelines, and contracts.

Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.

Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors.

• Logistics & Shipment Coordination

Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for domestic and international shipments.

Work with freight forwarders, CHA, transporters, and logistics partners for smooth clearance and delivery.

Monitor shipment tracking and documentation (BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, etc.).

Optimize transportation costs and lead times.

• Inventory & Warehouse Management

Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production and sales demand.

Oversee GRN process, stock audits, batch tracking, and FIFO/FEFO implementation.

Minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, and dead stock.

Coordinate closely with production and warehouse teams.

• Demand Planning & Forecasting

Analyze sales trends and production plans to forecast material requirements.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual supply plans.

Align procurement with sales forecasts and production schedules.

• Process & Documentation

Ensure accurate documentation for procurement, shipment, and inward material.

Implement SOPs for supply chain operations and continuously improve processes.

Maintain ERP/MIS reports on procurement, inventory, and logistics metrics.

• Cost Optimization & Efficiency Improvement

Identify opportunities to reduce procurement and logistics costs.

Improve supplier terms, reduce lead times, and streamline workflows.

Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, procurement cost variance, and lead time adherence.
