Scientific Officer

Nirnayan Health Care Pvt Ltd, Kolkata is looking for the role of Scientific Officer with outstanding research and analytical skills. Qualifications for Scientific Officer :-

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline (Mandatory)
• 02–03 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in mass spectrometry and protein/peptide characterization.
• Demonstrated success working on cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to design and execute experiments that meet characterization and development goals.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; adaptable to shifting priorities.
• Passion for innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence.

Responsibilities:-

• Develop and apply mass spectrometry-based strategies to support characterization of large molecules (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, fusion proteins, ADCs).
• Conduct in-depth protein characterization, including:
• Intact mass analysis
• Identification of post-translational modifications (PTMs)
• Disulfide bond mapping
• Glycosylation profiling
• Structural variant analysis (e.g., IdeS-MS)
• Use bioinformatics and AI based tools to support protein engineering work on improving affinity, specificity, stability, and manufacturability of therapeutic protein and antibodies.
• Lab-based role with potential exposure to biological materials
