Scientific Domain Advisor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct 30–45 minute deep technical interviews with senior biomarker candidates
• Rigorously assess expertise in LC-MS / LC-MS/MS–based proteomics and biomarker workflows
• Evaluate true ownership of assay development, optimization, and bioanalytical validation
• Assess experience translating biomarkers from discovery into clinical and translational use
• Probe understanding of clinical trial integration and regulatory expectations
• Evaluate scientific leadership, decision-making quality, and mentorship capability
• Deliver a concise written recommendation after each interview:
• Strong Pass / Pass / Borderline / No-Go
• Clear rationale and identified scientific or execution risk flags

Required Skills & Experience

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Proteomics, or a closely related discipline
• 10–15+ years of hands-on experience in mass spectrometry–based biomarker discovery
• Demonstrated ownership of assay development and clinical bioanalytical validation
• Direct experience across preclinical and clinical biomarker programs
• Deep technical expertise in:
• LC-MS and LC-MS/MS
• Targeted and/or discovery proteomics
• Bioanalytical assay validation standards
• Background in pharma, biotech, or top-tier biomarker/proteomics CRO environments
• Proven scientific leadership, including leading biomarker programs or workstreams
• Experience mentoring or managing scientists
• Ability to provide direct, unbiased, high-quality technical feedback

Preferred Skills

• Neuroscience / CNS biomarker experience (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS)
• Sponsor-side biomarker leadership or CRO oversight experience
• Collaboration experience with clinical, biostatistics, and regulatory teams
