School Counsellor

As a School Counsellor at St. Augustine's Day School for Boys, your role involves providing individual and group counseling to students, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs. You will develop and implement intervention strategies to support student well-being, collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators, conduct assessments, and maintain confidentiality while adhering to ethical guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Master of Arts (M.A.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Psychology. - Post Graduate degree in Child Development. - Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling. - Must be from an English Medium Background. - Fluent in English. Preferred Experience: - Previous experience in a school setting. - Knowledge of developmental stages and their impact on learning. - Familiarity with educational psychology and child development theories. - Ability to create and deliver workshops for students, staff, and parents. Skills Required: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Empathy and a non-judgmental approach. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Excellent organizational and time management skills.
