Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused School Counsellor who will play a key role in fostering the emotional, social, and academic growth of our students. The Counsellor will provide guidance, counseling, and support services to help students handle school-related, personal, and psychological challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students on personal, social, emotional, and academic issues.

- Identify students facing adjustment or behavioral challenges and provide suitable interventions.

- Guide students through career planning, decision-making, and goal-setting processes.

- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to create a supportive learning environment.

- Maintain confidential case records and evaluate students’ progress.

- Organize mental health awareness programs, workshops, and orientation sessions.

- Foster a positive school culture that promotes emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-discipline among students.

- Support the school administration in developing student well-being policies and disciplinary frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Child Development (mandatory).

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a school counsellor or in a similar educational role.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

- Empathetic listener with practical problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of child psychology, adolescent development, and behavioral interventions.
