Job Summary

As a key member of the

Core Banking Base Development and Professional Services team

, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering

microservices-based solutions

using

Scala and Akka

. This role is aligned with

NextGen transformation initiatives

and client-focused projects, requiring strong technical expertise in distributed systems and modern cloud-native architectures.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Core Programming

4–9 years of hands-on experience in Scala development
Strong experience with the Akka Framework, including Akka Streams
Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Microservices Architecture

Proven experience in designing and developing microservices
Familiarity with event-driven microservices architectures
Working knowledge of gRPC and Protocol Buffers

DevOps & Infrastructure

Hands-on experience with Docker containers
Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native concepts
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS

Tools & Platforms

Experience with Jira, Confluence
Basic knowledge of Ansible, Terraform

Scripting & Automation

Knowledge of Batch/Bash scripting

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving ability
Clear and effective communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

Additional programming experience with Python scripting
Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and advanced testing methodologies
Hands-on experience deploying applications on AWS
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Awareness of message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

AWS Certified Developer / Architect
Lightbend Akka Certification
