Role Description

This is a full time remote role in India. We are seeking a highly skilled SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) Expert to help improving our existing system and lead initiatives around master data quality, governance, and process optimization. This will be done on project basis, for all related aspects.

The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with both SAP S/4HANA and MDG, with a proven track record of more than 5 years working in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP MDG solutions across master data domains (Materials, BPs etc.)
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data governance policies and data ownership models
• Design and maintain data validation, enrichment, and workflow processes
• Work closely with SAP S/4HANA and SBO teams to ensure smooth integration of MDG within the overall system landscape
• Provide end to end solution, including during data migration, transformation projects and system upgrades if needed
• Act as a trusted advisor for business stakeholders on master data best practices and SAP standards

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MDG, including configuration, workflows, and data modeling
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly in the context of master data management
• Deep understanding of master data structures and business processes in large-scale ERP environments
• Experience with data migration tools and techniques
• Solid understanding of governance, compliance, and data lifecycle management
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge between business users and technical teams
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MDG Central Governance and Consolidation
• Full life cycle implementations of MDG Standard and Custom objects is an advantage
• Familiarity with Fiori-based applications and MDG UI enhancements
• Previous experience in multinational or regulated industries
• SAP certification(s) in MDG or S/4HANA is an advantage
