SAP Abap Consultant

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 500000 - Rs 1500000 (ie INR 5-15 LPA)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using core ABAP programming techniques, including Module Pool, BDC, and Interactive Reports
• Work extensively with Function Modules, RFCs, BAPIs, and Web Services to support integrations and complex business processes
• Design and develop Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and custom forms as per project requirements
• Implement enhancements using BADIs and User Exits to tailor SAP systems to business needs
• Build web-based applications using ABAP Web Dynpro and maintain ABAP Dictionary objects such as tables, views, domains, and data elements
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize programs to improve performance and resolve issues effectively
• Review functional/technical specifications and convert them into well-structured ABAP solutions
• Prepare detailed technical documentation following standard templates and guidelines
• Contribute to medium and large-scale SAP project implementations with strong development ownership
  

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development across multiple modules
• Strong command over Module Pool programming, BDC, OOPs concepts, and integration techniques
• Expertise in Function Modules, BAPI, RFC, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, Web Dynpro, and ABAP Dictionary
• Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize programs with a focus on quality and performance
• Ability to interpret functional requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions
• Experience working on significant SAP projects with a strong understanding of development standards
• Added advantage if you have exposure to SAP HANA, ABAP on HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5, or IDoc-based integrations
• Strong analytical mindset, structured approach to problem solving, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
