SAP ABAP Consultant

Description

• Experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong hands-on technical expertise in ABAP RICEF development, OOPs ABAP, CDS Views, OData, Workflow, Enhancements, and S/4HANA development.
• The consultant will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP custom solutions to meet business requirements across multiple SAP modules.
• The ideal candidate must have deep technical knowledge, strong integration understanding, hands-on debugging skills, and the ability to work with functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement RICEF objects :
• Reports Interfaces (Inbound/Outbound)
• Conversions (BDC, LSMW, BAPI)
• Enhancements (User Exits, BADI, Enhancement Spots)
• Forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAPScript)
• Develop custom objects following SAP development standards and naming conventions.
• Ensure performance optimization, code quality, and reusability.
  

Strong Experience In

• ABAP on HANA
• CDS Views (Basic, Cube, Interface, Consumption views)
• AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
• ADBC (Database Connectivity)
• OData Service creation & consumption
• Develop custom Fiori Apps support objects :
• Annotations
• OData V2/V4 services
• Metadata extensions
• Develop custom workflows, task creation, and workflow monitoring.
• Handle IDoc configurations, extensions, segments, processing, and debugging.
• Work on ALE/EDI configurations and partner profiles.
• Build interfaces with CPI/PI/PO, middleware, web services, RFCs, and REST APIs.
• Work closely with SAP functional teams across : SD, MM, FICO, PP, QM, PM, EWM, HR, WM, and others.
• Translate functional specifications into detailed technical specifications.
• Support integration and business process mapping across modules.
• Provide technical feasibility analysis and effort estimation.
  

Experience With

• S/4HANA migration (Brownfield/Greenfield)
• Code remediation using Quick Fix tools
• Custom code adaptation for HANA compatibility
• SPAU/SPDD adjustments
• Work with SLT, LTMC and other migration tools.
• Prepare technical documents (TDDs), unit test cases, and test scripts.
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Coordinate transports, version management, and deployment activities.
• Work within Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong hands-on ABAP programming (Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms).
• Debugging & performance tuning experience.
• IDocs, RFC, BAPI, BDC.
• SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAPScript.
• CDS Views, AMDP, BOPF, OData Services.
• ABAP OO (Object-Oriented Programming).
