About The Role
Were looking for a Salesforce CPQ Technical Lead
to help shape and deliver scalable, user-friendly quoting and pricing solutions that support our global sales operations. In this role, youll lead the design, development, and optimization of Salesforce CPQ across the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Product, and IT. This is a high-impact position where your technical leadership will directly contribute to improving sales efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience. - Lead the full lifecycle of Salesforce CPQ implementation: design, development, configuration, and optimization.
- Architect scalable CPQ solutions including product catalog setup, pricing rules, discounting, bundling, and quote models.
- Implement advanced pricing logic using Quote Calculation Plugin (QCP).
- Integrate CPQ with other Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing) and external systems using APIs and middleware.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and system architecture.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Copado and Jenkins.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to align CPQ solutions with strategic goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CPQ-related issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Maintain clear and accessible technical documentation.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, CPQ updates, and industry best practices.
- Ensure data integrity using sharing rules, validation logic, and data loader tools.
- Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Components (Aura LWC), and Visualforce pages.
- Support Agile, Scrum, or hybrid development methodologies.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and production deployments.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Assist with release planning, environment management, and regression testing.
- Refactor legacy code and drive quality improvements.
- Promote secure coding practices and compliance with IT and security policies.
Requirements:
- Experience with Salesforce development (typically 5+ years), including hands-on work with Salesforce CPQ.
- Proven ability to architect and deliver enterprise-grade CPQ solutions.
- Strong understanding of pricing models, discount strategies, and product configuration logic.
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce metadata.
- Experience with CPQ Quote APIs, QCP, and custom business logic.
- Familiarity with data modeling, migration, and integration across Salesforce and third-party systems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Jenkins, Selenium).
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Ability to conduct code reviews and promote technical excellence.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
- Experience mentoring or leading developers in a team setting.
- Familiarity with other CRM platforms (e.g., Siebel) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salesforce Certifications
Good to have:
- CPQ Specialist (required)
- Platform Developer I (required)
- Platform Developer II, Advanced Administrator, or Application Architect (preferred)
- Experience with multi-org and multi-currency Salesforce CPQ implementations.
- Knowledge of Quote Model APIs and Cancel Replace Package.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare) is a plus.
