Sales Trader - Equities

Role Overview: You will be joining the Institutional Sales & Trading team as a Sales Trader (Equities) at Equirus. Your primary responsibility will be to build and manage institutional client relationships, execute trades efficiently, and provide valuable market insights to drive client satisfaction and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage relationships with institutional clients such as Domestic MFs, HFs, AMCs, pension funds, PSU/private banks, asset managers, and other large investors. - Act as a key contact by providing personalized advice, sharing firm research, investment ideas, and market strategies. - Deliver timely market insights, trading ideas, and trend updates. - Monitor and manage client trading activity to ensure accurate and timely execution of orders. - Advise clients on market liquidity, trade strategies, and optimal pricing. - Identify and execute profitable trading opportunities leveraging market knowledge. - Ensure compliance with internal risk management protocols and regulatory requirements in all trading activities. - Stay updated on relevant market regulations, compliance standards, and best practices. - Identify and develop new institutional client relationships to expand the firm's market presence. - Collaborate with the sales team to grow the institutional client base and revenue streams. - Work closely with internal trading desks, research teams, and other departments to deliver excellent client service. - Provide feedback on client needs, product offerings, and market conditions to internal stakeholders. - Contribute to the development and enhancement of in-house trading algorithms for improved execution efficiency and strategy performance. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional sales trading, preferably at a broking firm or investment bank. - Strong understanding of equities, derivatives, and related financial products. - Demonstrated success in managing and growing institutional client relationships.
