Job Title: Sales Representative – FMCG
Location: Field-Based / Assigned Territory
Department: Sales & Distribution
Reports To: District Officer / Area Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales, expanding the retail network, ensuring product visibility, and maintaining strong relationships with retailers in the assigned territory. The role involves daily market visits, order booking, merchandising, and execution of sales initiatives to achieve monthly targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly and weekly sales targets for the assigned area.
Identify new retail outlets and expand market coverage.
Promote products and schemes to increase order value and volume.
2. Market Visits & Order Booking
Visit retailers daily to book orders and ensure product availability.
Track and improve strike rate, coverage, and productivity.
Verify stock levels and coordinate with distributors for timely supply.
3. Retailer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and shop owners.
Address retailer concerns, provide product training, and improve brand loyalty.
Communicate offers, promotions, and new launches effectively.
4. Merchandising & Visibility
Ensure proper display of products at stores as per company standards.
Install POS materials, check planogram adherence, and maintain shelf share.
Track competitor activities and report insights.
5. Execution of Sales Strategies
Implement trade schemes, promotions, and visibility drives.
Support area-level marketing events and activities.
Share market feedback to help refine strategies.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Submit daily sales reports, order details, and visit summaries.
Maintain retailer database, route plans, and activity trackers.
Ensure timely communication of issues to supervisors.
