Sales Officer

Key Responsibilities Customer Acquisition: Acquire new customers for products like Current Accounts, Savings Accounts (CASA), and Fixed Deposits (FD) through a mix of outbound and inbound channels.  Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet monthly quantitative and qualitative sales targets for the designated products and branch.  Lead Generation & Closure: Generate leads through cold calling, direct mail, email campaigns, managing walk-in customers, and leveraging referrals in the assigned geography.  Customer Engagement: Engage with existing and new customers to understand their financial needs and provide suitable banking and insurance products.  Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of HDFC's banking products and services, including competition offerings, to effectively handle objections.  Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, including home loan executives or other bank partners.  Documentation: Ensure the proper completion of application forms, document submission, and customer profiling.  Compliance: Strictly adhere to all KYC (Know Your Customer) norms, banking regulations, and internal compliance practices.  Key Skills and Competencies Sales Acumen: Ability to effectively pitch products, handle customer objections, and close sales.  Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to connect with customers and build trust.  Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the local market and ability to map the territory to identify new business opportunities.  Customer Service: Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and resolving issues.  Hard Work & Drive: A proactive, hard-working, and smart-working attitude to achieve sales goals in a field-intensive role.  Qualifications & Experience  Education: Typically a graduate degree or above is preferred. Experience: While some roles welcome freshers, relevant experience in sales or banking is often an advantage. Other: A two-wheeler and a valid driving license are often required due to the field-intensive nature of the role.
