Key Responsibilities Customer Acquisition & Lead Generation: Proactively seek out and acquire new customers for various financial products, such as current and savings accounts, fixed deposits, loans (e.g., home loans), and insurance.  Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and business associates to generate referrals and drive sales.  Product Sales & Cross-selling: Promote and explain the features and benefits of different HDFC products, identify customer needs, and cross-sell additional products to existing customers to fulfill their financial needs.  Business Target Achievement: Meet and exceed defined business targets for sales of all financial products.  Customer Service: Provide quality post-sales service to existing customers, assisting with requests, renewals, and resolving queries.  Compliance: Adhere strictly to regulatory requirements, KYC norms, and internal bank policies while selling products.  Market Feedback: Gather and share market trends and customer feedback with supervisors to help develop business strategies.  Required Skills & Qualifications Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for explaining products and building rapport with customers.  Relationship Building: The ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with clients and partners is crucial.  Proactiveness: A proactive approach to market engagement, lead generation, and business development is expected.  Market Knowledge: Staying updated on product trends and competitor offerings.  Education: Typically requires a graduate or postgraduate degree.  Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the local market and catchment area is often preferred.  What to Expect Work Environment: Involves both field-based work for customer acquisition and in-branch activities.  Training: HDFC often provides specific training and certifications (e.g., for insurance products) for their sales professionals.  Career Growth: The role offers opportunities to advance within the bank, especially through programs like HDFC Bank's ACE Banker Program.
