Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve sales targets and drive consistent growth within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and acquire new customers across Automotive, Industrial, and OEM segments.
  • Manage and grow key accounts to ensure long-term partnerships and recurring business.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Establish strong working relationships with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and industrial manufacturers.
  • Understand customer requirements and applications; collaborate with Technical Service/R&D teams to deliver solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and finalize commercial agreements.

Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, market dynamics, and pricing trends.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introduction of new products.
  • Provide regular feedback to management to refine and strengthen regional strategies.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Partner with technical service and R&D teams for trials, testing, and product approvals.
  • Work closely with supply chain and production teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in selling adhesives, sealants, coatings, lubricants, or industrial consumables.

  • Graduate in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business degree (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in managing Automotive OEM or industrial accounts.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in local language (Kannada for Bangalore) along with fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region.

Core Competencies

  • Strong technical sales skills with a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Existing relationships within automotive and industrial clusters preferred.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
  • Skilled in reporting, analysis, and business presentations.
