Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to to join our Slow Speed Synchronous business line in Motion High Power division in India. You will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies, managing customer relationships, and driving sales growth in designated markets.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead business development and sales activities for Power and Data Center generators in India.
- Support sales and marketing efforts for motors (Water, Metals, COG, Marine) and generators (Power, Data Centers, Marine) across India and the Middle East.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for targeted markets and segments. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Operations) to deliver optimal customer solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations. Define and execute country-level strategies aligned with global business objectives.
- Ensure ABBs customer value propositions are effectively communicated and adopted. Drive customer satisfaction through structured follow-up and support.
- Respond to RFQs with tailored value propositions and timely communication. Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Lead go-to-market initiatives in collaboration with key customers and internal teams. Participate in contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and agreement renewals.
- Prepare and manage financial forecasts. Ensure compliance with ABBs corporate and country-specific standards and processes.
Qualifications for the role - Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; additional training in business or marketing is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including several years in sales or customer-facing roles within industrial sectors.
- Experience in account management with global customers, especially in electrical machines, is highly desirable. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset. Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in local Indian languages is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within India and occasionally internationally.
